**Polymer Clay is a manufactured modeling compound that remains soft until cured in the oven. The beautiful flowers, plants, birds, insects, and other animals are sliced off of a polymer clay cane and individually placed in the pen blank. A cane is a log of clay which is created by layering differently colored and differently shaped clay pieces together to form a pattern or picture (the image runs all the way through the clay, but shows only at each end). Sliced can be cut off the end to be placed elsewhere, yielding many little copies of the same image. The can also be carefully compressed from the outside to reduce the image/cane. This will give you a longer cane with a smaller image

We use a variety of materials in our items; natural wood, colored resin, and a combination of wood, resin, and sometimes other materials, called hybrids.  In addition to the above mentioned materials we also use label cast (a printed image that is applied to a brass tube and encased in a crystal clear resin), fordite, and polymer-clay pen blanks.  

All of our pens have refillable ink cartridges, which come in a variety of colors and point widths (fine, medium, broad) and can be easy found online or at your local office supply store.  Fountain pens come with an ink refill and an ink converter for use with bottled ink and a black ink cartridge.

Finish Details: On our all resin bodies, we shape and size the body on our lathe.  The next steps are to wet sand using a six step sanding process (400-8000 grit), polish using six unique polishing compounds, and finally buff the body on a buffing wheel.  The process on wood and hybrid bodies is the same with the exception of, prior to sanding we apply up to 12 coats of cyanoacrylate that cures hard and crystal clear.  After the body is complete, we hand assemble each pen.  The end result is a beautiful pen that is designed to impress and will provide many years of service.
